MINUTES
Eagle City Hall, 660 E. Civic Lane
May 16, 2019 5:30 p.m.
1. CALL TO ORDER: The meeting was called to order at 5:32 P.M.
2. ROLL CALL: BAUN, BROOM, CROCKETT, HEILMAN, MARSHALL, MINCH, STIRRAT
Absent — HEILMAN, STIRRAT
STIRRAT ARRIVED AT 5:34PM
3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
A. Minutes of April 18, 2019
Commissioner Baun asked that the April minutes reflect that he left the meeting early.
Baun moved to approve the corrected minutes of April 18, 2019 as written. Seconded by
Crockett.
ALL AYES... MOTION CARRIES.
4. PUBLIC COMMENT:
None
5. MAYORS BRIEFING:
None
6. TRAIL SUPERINTENDENT REPORT:
Due to the high-water levels, more crumbling has occurred along the riverbanks. The city received permits
from the Army Corp of Engineers for emergency repairs, but the city has decided not to use them.
Commissioner Crockett expressed concern about a tree that is marked for removal at Site 11 ITD Baker and
if it's removed, is there any concern about the river flow. Steve Noyes stated that there is a concern, but the
tree is being removed per the Army Corp of Engineers and Flood District 10.
General Discussion
Chairman Marshall asked if the Porous Pave material has been used around the city before. Steve Noyes
stated no. Chairman Marshall asked what the product has been used for. Steve Noyes stated they use it around
pools, the base of trees, around playground equipment and pathways.
Steve Noyes stated that FEMA might assist in relocating the pathway noted on the map as FEMA Site 2 at
Eagle Island State Park. The city applied for an RTP Grant for phase I of the project and should be receiving
$100,000.00 to help relocate the pathway.
7. RECREATION SUPERINTENDENT REPORT:
Brandon Johnson provided an update on classes and events. Saturday Market customer numbers and gross
sales have increased tremendously.
Commissioner Baun requested a presentation regarding the Charlie Woods Pond at next month's PPRC
meeting.

10. PPRC LIAISON ASSIGNMENT REPORT:
Council Member Pittman wanted to personally thank all those on the PPRC Commission for volunteering and
making the community a better place.
