PARKS, PATHWAYS AND RECREATION COMMISSION
MEETING MINUTES
February 19, 2025, 5:30 p.m.
1. CALL TO ORDER: The meeting was called to order at 5:30 p.m.
2. ROLL CALL: Present: HUFFAKER, IVIE, LEWIS, MORRISON, HINEY, DOMENE
FAUSTINA.
Absent: Lewis.
A quorum is present.
3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
A. Minutes of January 15, 2026
Faustina moves to approve the minutes of January 15, 2026. Seconded by Hiney. ALL
AYE ... MOTION CARRIES.
4. PUBLIC COMMENT:
This time is reserved for the public to address the Parks, Pathways and Recreation Commission regarding
concerns or comments they would like to provide to the commission. Out of courtesy for all who wish to
speak, the commission requests each speaker limit their comments to three (3) minutes.
None
5. DISCUSSION ITEMS:
A. Review and Discussion of Resolution 16-34 - Commission Duties.
Huffaker presents item. Committee discusses the Commissions role and the resolution's six
points taking them up one at a time.
Huffaker discusses the RFQ for the parks and pathways master plan and the commission's role
in the process.
B. Discussion of Development Requirements for Pathway Construction and Inspection.
Huffaker presents item. He points out this item's subject was addressed during the previous
item discussion.
C. Discussion of Recreation Programs.
Huffaker presents item. The commission discusses item. The commission would like city
staff to report monthly or quarterly on recreation activities and park plans.
