EAGLE PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION
MINUTES OF THE SEPTEMBER 18, 1989 MEETING
The Eagle Planning and Zoning Commission met in regular session
on August 21, 1989 at 7:30 p.m. Chairman WATSON presiding.
Roll call showed the following members present:
TEWKSBURY, BENNETT, EASON, GERBER.
SINCLAIR,
Motion by EASON and seconded by SINCLAIR to approve the minutes
of the August 21, 1989 meeting. ALL AYE: MOTION CARRIED.
PUBLIC HEARING: St. Mathews Catholic Church-Conditional Use
Permit to build a church at 555 N. Eagle Rd. Representative for
the owner of the property, Wayne Adams, spoke in behalf of the
proposal indicating that there was a need to build the church in
order to accommodate the growth of the parish. The property is 5
3/4 acres and will be done in phases as follows:

Moving the present church to the new location and
establish the parking area completed by 1992
Building the multi purpose Building
Building the Sanctuary, as funds are available

Bob Wright, of Wright Bros. Construction presented a plat on the
building site.

~here was no opposition.
Discussion followed regarding the plan and phasing.
Commissioners were concerned about shielding the canal, the ACHD
requirements for the street, egress and access, the sewer and
water and the design during the phasing process.
Moved by EASON and seconded by SINCLAIR to approve the
Conditional Use Permit with the condition that each phase be
approved by the Eagle Design Review Committee, rather than the
entire plan at one time.
FINDINGS OF FACT/CONCLUSION OF LAW: JOPLIN RANCH ANNEXATION:
Moved by EASON and seconded by TEWKSBURY to approve as presented.

MOTION CARRIED.

Discussion on the District Regulations tabled until we are able
to get the final plan from the City Attorney.
City Clerk advised the Commissioners that the next meeting
scheduled for P&Z will include the Annexation Study. The Eagle
City Council has asked P&Z to study those areas cited for
annexation for planning what areas should be annexed, when and
what zone.
The City Clerk also asked the Çommissioners to schedule the P&Z
meeting in October on the 23rd rather than the 16th.
