1. CALL TO ORDER: Meeting called to order at 5:30 p.m.
2. ROLL CALL: Present: D'ANDREA, HEATH, STARMAN, DUNN.
A quorum is present_
3. PUBLIC COMMENT:
This time is reserved for the public to address the Historic Preservation Commission regarding concerns or
comments they would like to provide to the Commission regarding any matter, up to and including any subject
on the agenda_ Out of courtesy for all who wish to speak, the Commission requests each speaker limit their
comments to three (3) minutes.
4. PRESENTATION: Maria Rachal and Dan Everhart from the Idaho State Historic
Preservation Office
Mr. Everhart begins his presentation with a summary of the Idaho State Historic Preservation
Office, SHPO, and what their work includes. Ms. Rachal gives an overview of her role for the
Certified Local Government branch of the SHPO that she manages and what it means for The
City of Eagle's Historic Preservation Commission. They have provided handouts which have
been attached to the minutes. The remainder of the presentation focuses on what the HPC can
focus on as a commission. The presenters answer questions from commissioners.
5. UNFINISHED BUSINESS:
A. Update on the Jackson House and the Historic House Report
Dunn begins review of the Jackson House and the Historic House Report as well as the status of
review from parties involved.
B. Update on the Mary Aikens/Blue Moose Cafe plaque
Dunn updates commissioners on status of the new plaque.
C. Update on CLG Grants for Downtown Windshield Survey
Dunn explains the status of the CLG grant for the Downtown Windshield Survey and what is
next.
D. Jackson House tour
The commissioners plan on touring the house and property on May 201, 2024, at 11 am.
6. NEW BUSINESS:
A. ACTION ITEM. Minutes of December 13, 2023
D'Andrea makes a motion to accept the minutes of December 13, 2023, as presented.
Seconded by Heath. ALL AYE ... MOTION CARRIES.
7. REPORTS:

8. ADJOURNMENT:
There being no further business, D'Andrea moves to adjourn, seconded by Heath.
