Per Idaho Public Records Act, Idaho Code 74-107(1) considers our billing rates and percentage mark-up(s), "TRADE SECRET". At Personnel Plus, Inc., we offer clients the option to directly hire temporary employees before they complete their required conversion hours. This process is known as a buyout, and it allows your business to bring a valued temp employee onto your permanent team. Below is an outline of how the buyout works, factoring in the employee's remaining conversion hours, pay rate, and workers' compensation classification. 1. Remaining Conversion Hours When a temporary employee is hired full-time before they complete the agreed-upon conversion hours, Personnel Plus, Inc. will calculate the number of remaining hours. For example, if the agreement specifies 500 hours and the employee has completed 300, there are 200 hours remaining before a direct hire without additional cost. 2. Pay Rate The buyout fee is based on the employee's hourly wage, which workers compensation code they are classified under and the remaining conversion hours. This ensures that Personnel Plus, Inc. is fairly compensated for recruiting, training, and onboarding services provided to your company. For instance, if the employee earns $20 per hour and there are 200 hours remaining, we may apply a buyout percentage to calculate the final cost. This percentage represents the investment Personnel Plus, Inc. has made in the employee's placement. 3.Workers' Compensation Classification Each temporary employee is assigned a workers' compensation classification code based on the nature of their job and its associated risk. Example Buyout Calculation • Remaining Conversion Hours: 200 hours • Hourly Pay Rate: $20/hour • Workers Comp Code: 881000—clerical/administrative • Mark-percentage 28% 4 Payrate of$20.00 Multiplied by the mark-up of 28% = $25.60 Bill rate Personnel Plus, Inc then calculates it burden (taxes & insurance) and deducts this amount from the bill rate. Payrate of$20.00 multiplied by burden of 11.12%= $22.24 burden (payroll +taxes+ insurance) Bill rate of$25.60—burden of$22.24 = $3.36 margin $3.36 multiplied X 200 = $672.00 buyout. This $672.00 buyout fee allows the city to transition the temporary employee into your permanent workforce before they fulfill the remaining 200 hours, while compensating Personnel Plus, Inc. for our services. This is an example and each employee placed may have different buyout costs associated based off of their payrate, which workers compensation and completed conversion hours. If you have any further questions or would like to proceed with a buyout, feel free to reach out to us at Personnel Plus, Inc. We're here to support your staffing needs and ensure a smooth process.
