CALL TO ORDER: Vice Chairman Pellant calls the meeting to order at 5:30 a.m. 2. ROLL CALL: BAUN, BESSAW, JOHNSON, KOSCIUCH, PELLANT. Present: Bessaw, Kosciuch, and Pellant. Absent: Baun and Johnson. A quorum is present. Council Liaison Kvamme present. 3. REPORTS: A. Committee: Chairman Bann to provide an update on the City Council presentation that was given on April 8, 2025, on behalf of the CAC. Pellant introduces the item and asks if Council Kvamme can -provide an update.pn the City Council presentation. Council Kvamme provides an update on the CAC preseniatioit that was given to tie City Council on April 8. He states that the Council was in favor of seeking gran& forthe big game signage as well as the purchase of noxious weeds handbooks to be sold to the public. Gener, 1041`�pssion regarding the Charlie Woods Park. Csencsits states that Charlie Woods project is currently not prioritized4nn'th'e CIP. However, it is on the project list. The project will need to be funded through CEP funds. Kvamme recommends holding a meeting with John Rennison and the Committee to discuss options on park development. B. Staff. Planner Hailey Durham states that staff continues to monitor the developments required to put into the CEP. 4. NEW BUSINESS: A. ACTION ITEM.- Minutes of March 10, 2025. (HC) Bessaw moves to approve the minutes of March 10, 2025. Seconded by Kosciuch. ALL AYES ... MOTION CARRIES. B. Discussion on Native Vegetation and Noxious Weed Control (Education and Outreach). (CB) Pellant introduces the item. Discussion amongst the Committee regarding the purchase of Plants of the Boise Foothills books to be sold at Eagle City Hall, Saturday Markets, and potentially the Museum. The Committee recommends purchasing 1,000 books at $3.50 each and selling them for $7.00, which is the cost to reprint. Some of the books could be given to local teachers within the Eagle schools along with resources and organizations that offer field trips. When the books are launched, there can be additional educational information provided in addition to Ada County Noxious Weed Control hosting a booth at Saturday Market. There is a pdf version of the book that could be put on the City's website along with the Survey 123-Invasive Weeds, that allows foothills users to report invasive weeds. The Committee states that they would like to hold a special meeting on May 29 to discuss the educational piece of the noxious weeds since Baun is familiar with that part. Additionally, they would like to have Rennison attend the April 29 meeting to discuss future Charlie Woods Park development and what he is proposing. Kvamme suggests that the Committee think about what they would recommend to help preserve (conserve) the driving range pond at Eagle Hills Golf Course should it be developed. Kvamme also suggests that the Committee review the Comprehensive Plan and provide suggestions as it relates to conservation. 5.
