1. CALL TO ORDER: The meeting was called to order at 5:30 P.M.
2. ROLL CALL: DOMENE, FAUSTINA, HUFFAKER, IVIE, LEWIS, MORRISON, RACKLEFF
Absent: Rackleff (resigned 3-4-25)
3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
A. Minutes of January 16, 2025
Commissioner Domene moved to approve the minutes of January 16, 2025, as written.
Seconded by Vice Chairman Faustina. ALL AYES... MOTION CARRIES.
4. PUBLIC COMMENT:
None
5. REPORTS:
None
6. NEW BUSINESS:
A. Eric Ziegenfuss presented on proposed Friendship Park Playground.
Commissioner Ivie makes a motion to suggest that Eric ask for Lucky Dog and Recreation Today to
maybe go head -to -head and see what kind of options they can offer us for our next meeting.
Commissioner Ivie thought that Recreation Today did not have shade, it does. In that case I would like
to make the recommendation that Lucky Dog take a look at perhaps some options that include more of
the shade rather than the one option that they provided and Recreation Today to consider adding a
swing to their bid.
Commissioner Ivie amended the previous motion to recommend that Eric have Lucky Dog consider an
option or two that includes more shade, and that Recreation Today include an option that has a swing
and narrow the field down to those two. Seconded by Commissioner Domene. ALL AYES ... MOTION
CARRIES.
B. Mary Wall with Professional Engineering Services presented on Tavira Subdivision.
Andrew Glaspell, Planner with the City of Eagle and presenting on Tavira Subdivision.
Commissioner Ivie makes a motion to recommend as a body of commissioners that we accept all of staff
recommendations and add an additional caveat that we would love to see a small play structure or tot
lot added to this subdivision.
Commissioner Ivie makes a substitute motion. I would love to recommend as a commission that we
accept staff recommendations and also include the possibility of switching sides along Hamlin for our
8 foot and 5-foot pathways so that they are switched if possible and that we allow for more open play
area within this subdivision up to and including a play structure or usable open space. Seconded by
Commissioner Lewis. ALL AYES ... MOTION CARRIES.
Chairman Huffaker wants the record to reflect that the switching of those two on Hamlin that, that's
our preference that they be switched.
