The regular meeting of the Eagle Planning and Zoning Commission
was held August 7, 1979.
Members present were: ALLRED, FISHER, SHARP. Excused:
BROWNLEE, KUNKLFR, SORENSEN. Absent: IRVAN.
An on-site tour of the Marcus/DeShazo property on 2nd
street was made.
Chairperson Sharp announced that this was the time and place
for a public hearing on a Conditional Use Application submitted
by Marcus/Marcus/DeShazo to construct an elderly housing
unit.
People who gave testimony were Bob DeShazo, Archie Nihill,
Paddy Row and Barry Marcus. Testimony consisted of questions
and answers rather than pro and con.
There being no further testimony from the audience, the
public hearing was closed.
Chairperson Sharp announced that this was the time and place
for a public hearing on a rezone application submitted by
Marcus/Marcus/DeShazo from R-5 to R-25.
Mr. Marcus gave testimony.
There being no further testimony from the audience the
public hearing was closed.
Chairperson Sharp announced that this was the time and place
for a public hearing regarding an annexation request of
Verlan Mace, Marie Main, Leonard Mace and Fidelity Holding.
There being no testimony from the audience the public
hearing was declared closed.
IRVAN arrived.
Moved by FISHER and seconded by ALLRED that the minutes of
the meeting of July 3, 1979 be approved as printed.
Roll call on the motion resulted as follows: AYE: ALLRED,
FISHER, IRVAN, SHARP. Motion carried.
Moved by ALLRED and seconded by FISHER that the Conditional
Use Application submitted by Marcus/Marcus/DeShazo to
construct a 40 unit senior citizen housing unit be tabled
until a specific legal description and proof of ownership
of subject property is obtained by the Planning and Zoning
Commission.
Roll call on the motion resulted as follows: AYE: ALLRED,
FISHER, IRVAN, SHARP. Motion carried.

Moved by ALLRED and seconded by FISHER that the Rezone
Application submitted by Marcus/Marcus/DeShazo for a
proposed R-25 zone classification be tabled until a specific
legal description of subject property is obtained by the
Planning and Zoning Commission.
Roll call on the motion resulted as follows: AYE: ALLRED,
FISHER, IRVAN, SHARP. Motion carried.
Moved by ALLRED and seconded by IRVAN that the Eagle Planning
and Zoning Commission recommend to the City Council that the
property of Marie Main, Leonard Mace and Verlan Mace, if
annexed, be zoned agriculture and that the west 260 acres of
Fidelity Holding be zoned Industrial Techological Park and
the east 255 acres of Fidelity Holding be zoned R-3 if
annexed to the City of Eagle.
There being no further business to come before the commission,
the meeting was adjourned.
