February 20, 1979
The regular meeting of the Eagle Planning and Zoning Commission
was called to order by Chairperson Sharp at 7:30 P. M.
on February 20, 1979 at the city hall.
BROWNLEE was absent.
Moved by ALLRED and seconded by KUNKLER to approve the minutes
of the previous meeting of January 16, 1979 as printed.
Motion resulted as follows: AYE: ALLRED, KUNKLER, MENDIOLA,
SORENSEN, STEPHENSON. Motion carried.
PUBLIC HEARING ON ZONING MAP
Chairperson Sharp announced that this is the time and place
for a public hearing to be held on the official zoning map
for the City of Eagle.
LaRue Bevington, Boise, Idaho asked the commission to consider
a rezone on his property of 13 1/2 acres from agricultural
to C-2. Mr. Bevington was told that the purpose of this hearing
was to bring the map into conformance with the new zoning ordinance
and if he requested a rezone to file an application with the city
clerk.
Don Wilder, P. 0. Box 457, Eagle, Idaho told the commission that
he had been downzoned three years ago when he was annexed into
to the City of Eagle.
There being no further testimony to come before the commission,
the hearing was closed.
Moved by KUNKLER and seconded by ALLRED to send the map to the
city council with the changes that have been made on the map
with a recommendation for approval.
ALLRED withdrew her second. Motion dies for lack of a second.
Moved by ALLRED and seconded by SORENSON to recommend to the
city council approval of the zoning map as drawn and printed
in the Valley News Times without changing the zone on the
Bevington property.
Motion resulted as follows: AYE: ALLRED, SORENSEN, STEPHENSON.
NAY: KUNKLER. ABSTAIN: MENDIOLA Motion carried.
Moved by SORENSON and seconded by STEPHENSON that a public hearing
be scheduled for April 3, 1979 on a change in variance requirements
to make our zoning ordinance comply with state regulations.
Motion resulted as follows: AYE: ALLRED, KUNKLER, MENDIOLA,
SORENSON, STEPHENSON. Motion carried.
There being no further business to come before the commission,
