The meeting of the Eagle City Planning and Zoning
Commission was called to order Dec. 2. 1971 at 7:30P7
at the Eagle Library. Mr. Larry Sales from the Doise
Zoning Comm. was present and told about a town in
the state of Washington of 600 pop. He left a book
of p.ctures showing developments of the town.
The areas the Eagle Commission will need to
watnhuin their planning will be streets and sewer.
It was recommended to use the Ada County Zoning Map.
Discussion of mobile homes took place and the
Comm. was told the mobile home will be the coming type
of housing. Plans must be made to include them in
Eagle. At present the mobile home lowers land values.
Planning and zoning laws should be consistent, 7r.
Sales stated.
The Eagle City Commission was told they have the
right of authority to within one mile of Eagle City
limits. One member must be elected to represent the
Eagle Committee on the Regional Planning Commission.
The question, "Should there be large or small
lots?" was discussed. '3locks should not be less than
300 feet in len h, it was stated.
There was some discussion on the Dry Creek
Cemetery.
Those present at the meeting were: Doc House,
3i11 Taylor, Jr., Lou ?Mendianola, 10.11 Adams, Mayor
Young, Katherine DeCharnbeau and Elmer 3acus, Chairman.
The next meeting will be held '"onday Dec. 20th.
