RESOLUTION 4-79
BE IT RESOLVED By the Mayor and Council of the City
of Eagle, Idaho that:
Section 1.
The City of Eagle endorses the action of
the Idaho Transportation Department in the State Highway
System in Ada and Canyon Counties in the following proposals.
FIRST PHASE

Fairview Avenue from the State System. Add State Street,
from 23rd Street to 15th Street, and the 15th - 16th couplet,
from State Street to Front Street.
2. SH 55 - Removal of its route designation between the
Meridian I.C. and the present junction of SH 44 northwest of
Boise, via I-80N, 23rd Street, and State Street. It would
be re-routed from the Meridian I. C. to Eagle via the
present routing of SH 69, thence to the present SH 55-SH 44
junction northwest of Boise. SH 69 would terminate on the
north at the Meridian I. C.
SECOND PHASE
4. SH 44 - Remove that portion of SH 44 through Eagle
from the State System. This would be complemented by adding
a bypass south of town to be designated as SH 44.
6. SH 55 - Removal of the SH 55 designation from the
Meridian I.C., through Meridian, to the present junction of
SH 69-US 30 east of Meridian. This segment would also be re-
moved from the State System. It would be re-routed on I-80N,
from the Meridian I. C. to a point two miles east of the inter-
change, where a new interchange is being proposed. It would
then proceed north to the present junction of US 30-SH 69 east
of Meridian.
7. SH 55 - New alignment from Karcher Junction to I-80N.
With this new alignment, the SH 55 designation would be re-
moved from its present routing from Karcher Junction to Nampa,
