RESOLUTION NO. 6-82
BY THE COUNCIL, DECKER, HALEY, STOPPELLO, WALKER
A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING THE SUPPORT OF THE MUSCULAR DYSTROPHY
ASSOCIATION, SUPPORTING THE LABOR DAY TELETHON FOR THE

MUSCULAR DYSTROPHY ASSOCIATION AND ENCOURAGING THE RESIDENTS
OF THE CITY OF EAGLE TO SUPPORT ELIZABETH ADAMS AND LORI
GALLOWAY IN THEIR CRUSADE AGAINST MUSCULAR DYSTROPHY.
WHEREAS, the Eagle City Council recognizes the seriousness
of muscular dystrophy and its related disorders, and
WHEREAS, there are still no cures for neuromuscular
diseases, and
WHEREAS, the Jerry Lewis labor day telethon supports
the MDA's intensive worldwide research program in the
hope of finding a cure, and
WHEREAS, Lori Galloway and Elizabeth Adams will donate
their time and efforts in Eagle to rock through the Labor
Day Telethon;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF EAGLE, IDAHO:
Section 1.
That the City of Eagle endorses the efforts
of all support towards muscular dystrophy in association with
the Jerry Lewis Telethon.
Section 2.
That this Resolution shall be in full force and
effect immediately upon its adoption and approval.
