RESOLUTION

A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING CITY OF BOISE RESOLUTION #7787 AND SUP-
PORTING ADA COUNTY RESOLUTION #387.
WHEREAS, The City of Boise and Ada County have anopted
resolutions asking for voluntary participation and cooperation
of the citizens of Boise and Ada County in curtailing or eli-
minating unnecessary automobile driving, eliminating the use
of wood-burning stoves and fireplaces which are not the sole
source of heat on those days during November through February
when the Idaho Air Quality Bureau determines that air polution
levels are, or are expected to be "unheathful", "very unhealth-
ful" or "Hazardous".
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF EAGLE, IDAHO:
Section 1. That on those days during the months of
November through February when air pollution levels are design-
ated as "unhealthful", "very unhealthful" or "Hazardous" by Ada
County and the City of Boise, the citizens of Eagle are hereby
requested voluntarily to:
Eliminate or restrict automobile driving to necessary
trips only, particularly during the hours of 7:30 to
9:00 a.m. and 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on weekdays.

Utilize car pools where possible.
C.
Discontinue the use of wood-burning stoves and fire-
places which do not constitute the sole source of heat.
D.
Discontinue the use of coal as a fuel source in wood-
burning stoves and fireplaces which do not constitute
the sole source of heat.
Section 2. That this Resolution shall be in full force
and effect immediately upon its adoption and approval.
ADOPTED BY the Council of the City of Eagle, Idaho, this
