RESOLUTION NO. 3-85
A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE BOND ELECTION FOR A NEW HIGH SCHOOL
IN THE MERIDIAN SCHOOL DISTRICT ON MAY 21,1985.
WHEREAS, it has become apparent that Meridian High School
is overcrowded; and
WHEREAS, it appears quality education for our children is
in danger because of the overcrowding; and
WHEREAS, it appears that new residents and new businesses
are reluctant to settle in an area in which the education of
children is insufficient or below standards; and
WHEREAS, it appears that the lack of a second high school
is affecting the economic growth of the City of Eagle and its
impact area; and
WHEREAS, the failure of the bond election would result
in serious repercussions to the citizens of Eagle and its
impact area.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF EAGLE, IDAHO:
Section 1. The City of Eagle supports the Meridian School
District Bond Election on May 21,1985, for the construction of
a new high school.
Section 2. That all citizens of Eagle and the impact area
are urged to vote in favor of said bond election.
