Minutes - 2024 - Design Review Board - 11/14/2024 - RegularDESIGN REVIEW BOARD MINUTES The Design Review Board met in regular session on November 14, 2024. Lindgren presiding. CALL TO ORDER: Meeting called to order at 6:00. A quorum is present. 2. ROLL CALL: GRUBB, SAYER, LINDGREN, MURPHY, NORTON. Absent: MIHAN, GREER. 3. CONSENT AGENDA: ALL CONSENT AGENDA ITEMS ARE CONSIDERED ACTION ITEMS. Consent Agenda items are considered to be routine and are acted on with one motion. There will be no separate discussion on these items unless a Design Review Board member or City Staff requests an item to be removed from the Consent Agenda for discussion. Items removed from the Consent Agenda will be placed on the Regular Agenda in a sequence determined by the Rules of Order. Any item on the Consent Agenda that contains written recommendations from the City of Eagle shall be adopted as part of the Design Review's Consent Agenda approval motion unless specifically stated otherwise. ZONING CODE PROVISION WHICH ARE OF SPECIAL CONCERN REGARDING THIS PROPOSAL: Eagle City Code Section 8-2A-8 (C)(16)(m) states: Murals: Murals shall be considered art and not sigus as long as the mural is not used to advertise the business. Murals shall be acrtistic and nostalgic in nature and shall follow the theme of Eagle architecture. After receiving a recommendation from the Eagle arts commission [sic], all murals shall be reviewed by the design review board and approved by the city council. ARTS COMMITTEE DECISION: On November 4, 2024, the Eagle Arts Committee voted 3 to 0 to recommend approval of the Pueblo Lindo mural as presented. Following a review and recommendation by the Design Review Board, the mural request will be forwarded to the City Council for final action.
