A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN AGREEMENT BY AND BETWEEN THE CITY OF
BOISE CITY AND THE CITY OF EAGLE FOR THE PROVISION OF LOW INTEREST
LOANS TO THE CITIZENS OF EAGLE FOR THE PURCHASE OF QUALIFIED WOOD
BURNING STOVES; AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE
AND ATTEST, RESPECTIVELY, SAID AGREEMENT; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Boise City's Housing Rehabilitation
Division of the Building Department desires to cooperate in making
low interest loans to finance the installation of high technology
wood burning equipment in participating jurisdictions which share
the same airshed as Boise City; and
WHEREAS, to be considered a participating jurisdiction
by Boise City, the City of Eagle must agree to undertake certain
responsibilities arising from the implementation of the loan
program, which responsibilities are delineated in the attached
agreement; and
WHEREAS, the City of Eagle desires to make available to
its residents such loans;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EAGLE that:
Section 1: The agreement by and between the City of
Boise City and the City of Eagle for the provision of loans to the
residents of Eagle for the purchase of wood burning stoves, a copy
of which, marked Exhibit "A," is attached hereto and incorporated
herein by this reference, be, and the same hereby is, approved
both as to form and substance.
Section 2: That the Mayor and City Clerk be, and they
hereby are, authorized to execute and attest, respectively, said
agreement.
Section 3: That this Resolution shall be in full force
and effect immediately upon its adoption and approval.
