Minutes - 2024 - City Council - 11/06/2024 - Special EAGLE CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES November 6,2024 1. CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Pike calls the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m. 2. ROLL CALL: Present: GINDLESPERGER,MAY, KVAMME. Absent: RUSSELL.A quorum is present. 3. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: 4. EXECUTIVE SESSION: 74-206(1)An executive session at which members of the public are excluded may be held,but only for the purposes and only in the manner set forth in this section. The motion to go into executive session shall identify the specific subsections of this section that authorize the executive session. There shall be a roll call vote on the motion and the vote shall be recorded in the minutes.An executive session shall be authorized by a two-thirds (2/3)vote of the governing body.An executive session may be held: (a) To consider hiring a public officer,employee, staff member or individual agent,wherein the respective qualities of individuals are to be evaluated in order to fill a particular vacancy or need. This paragraph does not apply to filling a vacancy in an elective office or deliberations about staffing needs in general. May moves pursuant to I.C.74-206(1)that the City of Eagle convene an Executive Session for the purpose of(a)To consider hiring a public officer,employee,staff member or individual agent,wherein the respective qualities of individuals are to be evaluated in order to fill a particular vacancy or need.This paragraph does not apply to filling a vacancy in an elective office or deliberations about staffing needs in general. Council discusses the hiring of a public officer, employee, staff member or individual agenda. Council exits executive session. A. ACTION ITEM: Action Regarding Hiring of an Individual Agent Gindlesperger moves to direct staff and the City Attorney to work with CPSM to negotiate a scope of work and contract and bring back to City Council for approval. Seconded by May. GINDLESPERGER AYE; MAY AYE; KVAMME AYE. 5. ADJOURNMENT May moves to adjourn. Seconded by Gindlesperger. ALL AYE...MOTION CARRIES.
