A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING THE DESIRE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF EAGLE THAT THE PORTION OF PRESENT STATE HIGHWAY 44 LOCATED
WITHIN THE IMPACT AREA OF THE CITY OF EAGLE REMAIN UNDER THE
JURISDICTION AND CONTROL OF THE IDAHO DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION
WHEREAS, the City Council has been advised of a proposal of
the Idaho Department of Transportation to redesignate a section of
State Highway 44 between the cities of Eagle and Boise in Ada
county or to remove said section from the State Highway System;
and
WHEREAS, a portion of said section of State Highway No. 44
between the east corporate limits of the City of Eagle and State
Highway 55 lies within the City of Eagle's area of city impact
pursuant to the Local Planning Act of 1975.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF EAGLE, of Ada County, Idaho, as follows:
section 1: That it is the desire of the City Council of the
City of Eagle that the portion of State Highway No. 44 located
within the City of Eagle's area of city impact between its east
corporate limits and State Highway 55 remain under the jurisdic-
tion and control of the Idaho Department of Transportation rather
than reverting to local jurisdiction and control.
section 2: That the City Clerk is directed to cause
certified copies of this Resolution to be delivered to the Idaho
Department of Transportation and to the Ada County Highway
District.
section 3: That this Resolution shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage and approval.
