RESOLUTION NO. 11-91
A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING THE EAGLE FIRE DISTRICT AS THE LOCAL
EMERGENCY RESPONSE AUTHORITY FOR HAZARDOUS SUBSTANCE INCIDENTS
OCCURRING WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF EAGLE; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, Idaho Code 39-7105 (1) (a) mandates that "the governing
body of every city shall designate by ordinance or resolution a
local emergency response authority for hazardous substance
incidents within its corporate limits"; and
WHEREAS, the Eagle Fire District is the most appropriate agency
to be designated as a hazardous material response authority,
having trained personnel and appropriate equipment; and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF EAGLE, IDAHO THAT:
SECTION 1: That the Eagle Fire District is hereby designated by
the Mayor and City Council of the City of Eagle to be the
emergency response authority for hazardous substance incidents
that occur within the corporate limits of the City of Eagle.
SECTION 2: That this Resolution shall be in full force and
effect immediately upon its adoption and approval.
ADOPTED BY THE EAGLE CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF EAGLE, IDAHO
