A RESOLU'l'IOR FOR THE PURPOSB OF BRDORSIRG THE "92 ADA PLAIOIIRG
ASSOCIATIOR TRAlISPORTATIOR IMPROVEJIBRT PROGRAM: ADDBRDUJI
WHEREAS, the Ada Planning Association has been designated by the
Governor of Idaho as the Jletropolitan Planning Organi8ation
responsible for transportation planning in Rorthern Ada County,
Idaho ~ and
WHEREAS, the City of Bagle participates actively in all affairs of
the Ada Planning Association through the Mayor and a City Council
representative on the Ada Planning Association Board; and
WHEREAS, the Ada Planning Association has prepared a Transportation
Improvement proqrma and Addendua for Rorthern Ada County for "92-
96~ and
WHEREAS, the Addendwa to the Transportation IIDprov8ID8nt PrograID for
Rorthern Ada County identifies twenty-four "92 transit,
ridesharing, pathway and traffic operations projects, designed to
improve air quality throughout Ada county~ and
WHEREAS, the 1991 Intermodal Surface Transportation Efficiency Act
provides special purpose congestion MLtigation Air Quality funds
for projects such as these~ and
WHEREAS, the City of Bagle wishes to underscore its support for
full funding of thee air quality projects in a timely manner so
that, to the maximum extent possible, they may be completed during
the current construction season.
ROlf, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Eagle urges
the Idaho Transportation Department Board to act promptly in
allocating Congestion MLtigation Air Quality funds for these
projects.
