FOR THE PURPOSE OF MODIFYING THE ADA PLANNING
ASSOCIATION ARTICLES OF AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, the Ada Planning Association was established in 1977 as a countywide
planning and cooperative organization providing a forum for discussion and study of area
problems and facilitating the development of policy, action and recommendations for solutions
of such problems; and
WHEREAS, Section 67-2326 - 67-2333 of the Idaho Code specifically authorize cities,
counties and other political subdivisions of the State ofIdaho to perform their respective
functions, powers or duties on a joint basis between or among themselves; and
WHEREAS, the City of Eagle, Idaho possesses in common with local governments the
responsibility for the general welfare of the public to study, discuss and recommend policies for
the solution of area problems; and has the right to join in mutual association and expend public
funds for these pursuant to Section 67-2326 - 67-2333 of the Idaho Code; and
WHEREAS, the Ada Planning Association was created under authority of Section 67-
2326 - 67-2333 of the Idaho Code and the City of Eagle, Idaho was one of the signatories
thereto; and

WHEREAS, the City of Eagle, Idaho now desires to modify the Ada Planning
Association Articles of Agreement to allow the Ada Planning Association Board, under limited
conditions, to address planning areas outside Ada County when acting cooperatively with other
counties, cities or political subdivisions of other counties, on a matter of regional concern as
provided in the attached modifications to the 1977 Articles of Agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the City of Eagle, Idaho, does hereby
approve the attached modifications to the 1977 Ada Planning Association Articles of Agreement
and authorizes Mayor Rick Yzaguirre to sign the amended Articles of Agreement on behalf of
the City of Eagle.
