. RESOLUTION No. 98-11
FOR THE PURPOSE OF MODIFYING THE ADA PLANNING ASSOCIATION ARTICLES
OF AGREEMENT.
WHEREAS, the Ada Planning Association was established in 1977 as a countywide
planning and cooperative organization providing a forum for discussion andostudy of area
problems and facilitating the development of policy, action and recommendations for solution of
such problems; and
WHEREAS, Section 67-2326--67-2333 ofthe Idaho Code specifically authorizes cities,
counties and other political subdivisions of the State of Idaho to perfonn their respective
functions, powers or duties on a joint basis between or among themselves; and
WHEREAS, the city of Eagle possesses in common with local governments the
responsibility for the general welfare of the public to study, discuss and recommend policies for
the solution of area problems; and has the right to join in mutual association and expend public
funds for these pursuant to Section 67-2326--67-2333 of the Idaho Code; and
WHEREAS, the Ada Planning Association was created under authority of Section 67-
2326--67-2333 of the Idaho Code and the city of Eagle was one of the signatories thereto; and
WHEREAS, in 1997 the Ada Planning Association Articles of Agreement were
amended for the purpose of allowing the Ada Planning Board, under limited conditions, to
address planning areas outside Ada County when acting cooperatively with other counties, cities
or political subdivisions of other counties on a matter of regional concern; and
WHEREAS, the city of Eagle, now desires to modify the Ada Planning Association
Articles of Agreement to adopt a General Membership Contribution Fonnula as defined on
Attachment A and made a part hereof.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the city of Eagle does hereby approve
the attached modifications of the 1977 Ada Planning Association Articles of Agreement and
authorizes Mayor Yzaguirre to sign the amended Articles of Agreement on behalf of the city of
Eagle.
