RESOLUTION NO. 03-13
A Resolution of the Mayor and City Council of the City of Eagle amending the Eagle
City Personnel Policy and Procedure Manual by addressing Compensation while Serving
on Jury Duty and Insurance Coverage, correct section numbering and letter changes,
correct wording, and providing an effective date.
WHEREAS, The Personnel Policy and Procedure Manual was adopted by Resolution No.
97-4 on March 25, 1997.
WHEREAS, The City of Eagle desires to amend the Personnel Policy and Procedure
Manual to modify the Compensation while Serving on Jury Duty and Insurance
Coverage, correct section numbering and letter changes, and correct wording.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, By the Mayor and City Council of the City of
Eagle as follows:
Section 1: The following portion of the City of Eagle's Personnel Policy and Procedure
Manual is amended as follows:
Pages #10 and 12: Lettering Changes.
Page #15,3. last paragraph:
Accordine to the federal Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). only actual hours
worked are computed for purposes of determinine hours worked for overtime
calculation. Therefore. the Easde Citv/Librarv will not count Annual Leave or any
other time for which you are compensated but do not actual Iv perform work when
computine hours worded in a workweek. However. the eieht hours credited for a
holiday shall be included in the total hours worked per week for calculation of
overtime hours.

Proceeding:

should immediately advise your supervisor so arran2ements can be made to accommodate your
absence.

If employees are dismissed from iu" duty before the end of the workday. they must report to
their supervisor for instruction on whether to return to work for the remainder of the work day.
The employee must present checks from the court to the City Clerkffreasurer to substantiate
the claim for compensatin2 pay.

In the eyent that the commitment to a trial may last for an extended period of time. YOU must
notify your supervisor. JUry duty for an exceptionally lon2 duration may be compensated upon
the discretion of the City CouncillLibrary Board.
Page #22, 7. Insurance Coverage JI. 'ailable to Bmpleyees
Eagle City/Library provides health, vision and dental insurance to full-time employees
and the Mayor and City Council only. Insurance coverage begins on the first day of
the month following the end of the first thirty (30) days of continuous employment with
the CitylLibrary. All coverage is subject to policy terms and to change at any time.
Claims procedures are administered by the City Clerk's office.
SECTION 2, This Resolution shall be deemed effective when passed, adopted and
approved by the Eagle City Council.
