RESOLUTION No. 03-08
A RESOLUTION OF THE EAGLE CITY COUNCIL, EAGLE, ADA COUNTY, IDAHO
AUTHORIZING A FIVE HUNDRED DOLLAR ($500) REWARD FOR INFORMATION
LEADING TO THE ARREST AND CONVICTION OF THOSE PARTIES RESPONSffiLE
FOR THE DESTRUCTION, DEFACEMENT, OR VANDALISM OF PUBLIC PROPERTY
WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS OF EAGLE, IDAHO; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE,
WHEREAS, the City of Eagle, in order to deter vandals, wishes to offer an incentive to
those who provide information leading to the arrest and conviction of those parties responsible
for the destruction, defacement, or vandalism of public property,
WHEREAS, the City of Eagle, in order to maintain the peace and further public welfare
of the citizens of Eagle, hereby create this resolution under the authority of Idaho State Code
§§50-301 & 50-302 and Article XII §2 of the Idaho State Constitution.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF EAGLE, IDAHO.
Section 1: Upon motion and approval of the Eagle City Council after the Council is made
aware of an incident of vandalism on public property, the Council at its discretion, hereby
authorizes a five hundred dollar ($500) reward to be paid to or split among any individual(s)
whose information leads to the arrest and conviction of those parties responsible for the
destruction, defacement, or vandalism of public property within the city limits of Eagle, Idaho,
The reward will be in accordance with each incident. If more than one informant provides
relevant information leading to the arrest and conviction of the perpetrator(s) the reward will be
split equally among those informants.
Section 2: This Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its adoption
and approval.
