Resolution - 2003 - 03 - Adopting A Fee Schedule For Building Permit Fee - 02/18/2003 ORIGINAL RESOUL TION No. 03-03 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF EAGLE, IDAHO, ADOPTING A FEE SCHEDULE PURSUANT TO SECTION 7-1B-3 OF THE EAGLE CITY CODE, TO PROVIDE FOR THE MODIFICATION OF RESOLUTION 98-10 ESTABLISHING AN INCREASE FROM TEN TO THIRTY PERCENT OF BUILDING PERMIT FEE FOR RESIDENTIAL PLAN CHECK FEES REFERENCED IN SECTION 108.2 OF THE INTERNATIONAL RESIDENTIAL CODE AND PROVIDING FOR EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, public notice for a public hearing for these fees has been published in the Valley News as required by Idaho Code; WHEAREAS, the City Council has approved amending and updating the City's fee schedule for residential plan check fees by this resolution; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MA YOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EAGLE, IDAHO: Section 1: that said schedule attached hereto as Exhibit A and incorporated herein by this reference, is hereby approved; Section 2: that the Mayor and City Council are hereby authorized to execute said schedule for and on behalf of the City of Eagle; Section 3: that this Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its adoption and approval. This ordinance proposes to establish new fees as follows: I. Section 109.3.8, "Other inspections" shall be amended to àdd the text as follows: Re-inspections shall be charged a fee of fifty (SSO.OO) per inspection. 2. Add Section 114.4, "InvestigatloD Fees Work without a Permit": Whenever any work for which a permit is required by this code has been commenced without first obtaining said permit, a special investigation shall be made before a pennit may be issued for such work An investiga- tion f¡:¿, in addition to the permit fee, shall be collected whether or not a pennit is then or subsequently issued. The investigation fee .shall be equal . to the amount of the permit fee required by this êode. The minimum investigation fee shall be the same as the minimum fee set forth in Section 108.2. The payment of such investigation fee shall not exempt any person from compliance with all other provisions of this code nor from any penalty prescribed by law. All re-inspections shall be charged at a rate of Fifty (SSO.OO) dollars 3. Add Subsection 108.2, "Schedule of permit fees" Compliance with the IEEC inspection fees shall be as follows; Residential buildings SSG.OO, Non-residential buildings SI00.00, payable at time of issuance of the building permit. A hearing will be held on proposed Ordinance 432 on February II, 2003 at 7:30 p.m,. at the City of Eagle, City-Rail, 310 East State Street, Eagle, ID 83616. A copy of all documents is available for review upon request. Any member of the public has the right to appear at the public hearing and present evidence regarding the proposed Ordinance 432. Written comments about the proposed rates will be accepted by the City Clerk up until 5 working days prior to the public hearing.
