RESOLUTION NO. 01-11
A RESOLUTION ADOPTING APPENDIX CHAPTER 11 (ACCESSIBILITY) OF THE
UNIFORM BUILDING CODE, 1997 EDITION, AND PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Eagle, Ada County, Idaho, ("Eagle") is a municipal corporation
duly formed pursuant to the laws of the State of Idaho;
WHEREAS, the Fifty-fifth LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF IDAHO has passed
House Bill 611 which states: " local governments that issue building permits and perform
enforcement activities as defined in the building code shall adopt the most current
building code as defined in section 39-4109, Idaho Code, including the appendix chapter
(s) providing for accessibility."
WHEREAS, The City of Eagle shares in the commitment by the State of Idaho to make
all sites, buildings, facilities or portion thereof, accessible to persons with physical
disabilities.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
EAGLE, ADA COUNTY, IDAHO as follows:
Section 1: The City of Eagle hereby adopts Appendix Chapter 11 (ACCESSIBILITY)
to the previously adopted Appendices of the Uniform Building Code, 1997 Edition,
Volumes 1,2 and 3. Title 7-1A-2 of the Eagle City Code.
Section 2:
This Resolution shall take effect upon its passage and approval.
