AN ORDINANCE SETTING THE
SALARIES OF THE MAYOR AND
COUNCILMAN OF THE CITY OF
EAGLE, IDAHO:
WHEREAS. the Mayor and City Counc:I
of the C ty of Eagle, Idaho, deem ;t to be
in the best •nterests of said City and its
'i inhabitantsthat the salaries of the Mayor
` and City Council be increased to a level
F
proportionate to the responsibilities,
i dignity, and labor of respective elective
offices, therefore.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR
AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
EAGLE, IDAHO
Section 1: The salary of the Mayor of
the City of Eagle. Idaho. shall from the
effective date of this ordinance. be the
sum of S50.00 per month; the salary of
each councilman shall from the effective
date of this ordinance, be the sum of
S10.00 per month.
Section 2: This ordinance shall be
subject to all existing federal and state
laws and shall in no event be effective
until after the next general City of Eagle
election.
Section 3: The effective date of this
ordinance shall be the 1st day of January,
1974, pursuant to Idaho Code 50.203.
Section 4: If any section, provision,
part, paragraph, or clause of this
' ordinance shall be declared invalid or
unconstitutional by a court of competent
jurisdiction, such judgment shall not
affect the validity or constitutionality of
any part of the remainder of this
ordinance and this ordinance shall be
construed as though such invalid or
unconstitutional part were not incorpo
rated herein.
Section 5: This ordinance shall take
effect and be in force from and after its
passage, approval and publication, sub-
ject to the effective date of January 1,
1974,. specified above.
Passed by the City Council on the 15th
day of August, 1973.
Approved by the Mayor on'the 15th day
of August, 1973.
