AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EAGLE, IDAHO, ADOPTING CONSTRUCTION
STANDARDS FOR ENERGY CONSERVATION; PROVIDING FOR THE ACCEPTANCE OF
CERTAIN CERTIFICATIONS BEFORE AUTHORIZING ELECTRIFICATION; AND
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EAGLE,
IDAHO, that:
Section 1: The City hereby adopts the statewide construction
standards for energy conservation established in chapter 23, title
44, Idaho Code. Three copies of these standards and the rules and
regulations promulgated thereunder shall be kept on file in the
office of the City Clerk.
The City will accept residential building certifications from
builders and issue authorizations to electrify according to
procedures described in the rules and regulations known as the
Idaho Residential Energy Standards promulgated by the Director of
the Idaho Department of Labor and Industrial Services.
Upon the acceptance of such a certification from a builder and the
payment of a twenty-five dollar ($25.00) permit fee, the City shall
issue a permit for the residential dwelling which has been
certified by the builder.
Section 2: This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage, approval. and publication.
