EAGLE CITY COUNCIL

June 30, 2003
1. CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Merrill calls the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m.
2. ROLL CALL: Bastian, Sedlacek, Guerber, Nordstrom. All present. A quorum is
present.
3. DISCUSSION ITEMS:
A. Amendment to weed abatement ordinance.
Mayor introduces the issue.
Deputy City Clerk Osborn provides Council an overview of the ordinance and discusses
proposed changes. General discussion.
Deputy City Clerk will call Boise City and Ada County Weed Abatement to gather more
information in regards to the issue of enforcement.
B. Playe:round eQuipment at Merrill Park & Park sie:nae:e.
Mayor introduces the issue and discusses changing out the bicycle component at the
Merrill Park playground. General discussion.
Council concurs to trade out the bicycle for another component.
Discussion on park signage.
C. AdaJEae:le Sports Complex
Mayor introduces the issue.
General Council discussion on the lease or acquisition and annexation of the property.
General Council discussion on moving the gravel from the ACHD property next to the
Hill Road Property.
Council concurs to have the Mayor respond to the June 17,2003 letter from Ada County
and express the City's interest in a long-term lease or complete turnover and annexation
into the City.
D. Review and approval of bids to install additional bollards and a flae: pole at
Merrill Park.
Mayor introduces the issue.
Stan moves to approve the installation of the flag pole in Reid Merrill Park not to
exceed $892.00 and the 4 bollards in Reid Merrill Park not to exceed $989.00.
