MEETING MINUTES
TOWN HALL
October 30,2023
1. CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Pierce calls the meeting to order.
2. ROLL CALL: GINDLESPERGER,PIKE,BAUN,RUSSELL.
No roll call due to the meeting being an informal Town Hall meeting.
Present: Baun and Russell.Absent: Gindlesperger,Pike.
3. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: A member from the audience leads the Pledge of
Allegiance.
4. TOWN HALL MEETING:
The City of Eagle is pleased to invite all Eagle residents to attend the Town Hall meeting.
The Mayor and City Council welcome your input and look forward to answering any
questions that you may have. Have a suggestion?We'd love to hear from you!
Bill Navale, 1428 North Palaestra Avenue, Eagle, Idaho, asks if the City has considered
slowing down development North of Floating Feather and Palmer.
Mayor states that the City cannot do moratoriums.The City is currently in the process of doing
a Comprehensive Plan amendment. With this process the City can look at areas that need to
be modified and less dense.
Craig Kvamme, 1026 West Two Rivers Lane,Eagle,Idaho.Kvamme asks Baun if he has any
thoughts or suggestions on where he'd like to see the City make improvements or any changes,
he'd like to see given his experience over the last four years.
Baun would like the items initiated to continue to move forward as well as the encouragement
of open space.
Steve Brody,579 East Eaglewoods Lane,Eagle,Idaho,would like clarification on the policing
issues that are being said around town.
Mayor Pierce provides an explanation on the Sheriffs Contract.
1010 West Worn Over,Boise,Idaho,states that there are a lot of retired police and law-abiding
citizens within Eagle that are concealed carry and act as good stewards of the City should
something happen.
Michael Poyer, 973 Grey Pebble Way,Eagle, Idaho, asks if the sheriff has ever called for 10
to 12 Officers?It almost seems like a fear tactic with folks saying they need more Officers.
Mayor Pierce discusses how the property taxes work and where they go.
Brian Almon, 864 North Player Avenue,Eagle,Idaho.Would like clarification on the Senior
Center.

Mayor Pierce states that there was never a disruption in services and the Recreation
Department now runs it.
Mayor Pierce expresses how great a Night of 1000 Pumpkins was and Country Christmas will
be in December.
13. ADJOURNMENT:
The Council meeting ended at 6:06 p.m.
