AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EAGLE, ADA COUNTY, IDAHO, REPEALING TITLE
4 PUBLIC HEALTH AND SAFETY; CHAPTER 4 MOTOR VEHICLE EMISSIONS
CONTROL, OF THE EAGLE CITY CODE IN ITS ENTIRETY, DUE TO THE PASSAGE OF
NEW STATE LEGISLATION REGARDING THE SAME;AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Eagle is a municipal corporation organized and operating under
the laws of the State of Idaho; and
WHEREAS, the City adopted Ordinance 346 on April 27, 1999, codified as Eagle City
Code Title 4, Chapter 4 Motor Vehicle Emissions to comply with new state legislation ; and
WHEREAS, the State of Idaho passed legislation in 2023 regarding the Regional Air
Quality Council Act with the passage of Senate Bill 1254; and
WHERAS,the City desires to amend it code to reflect new state legislation,
NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF EAGLE,Ada County, Idaho:
Section 1: Title 4 Public Health and Safety, Chapter 4 Motor Vehicle Emissions Control
of the Eagle City Code is hereby repealed in its entirety.
Section 2: This Ordinance, or a summary thereof in compliance with Idaho Code §50-
901A, shall be published once in the official newspaper of the City, and shall take effect •
immediately upon its passage, approval and publication.
