A RESOLUTION OF THE EAGLE CITY COUNCIL RECOGNIZING AND
ESTABLISHING THE OFFICIAL LOGO OF' THE EAGLE WINE DISTRICT
OVERLAY, THEREBY RESCINDING RESOLUTION 08-07, AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS. In June of 2007, the City of Eagle established the Eagle Wine District
Overlay (EWD), a special area to promote and incubate the emerging viticultural industry within
the City of Eagle and the Eagle Area of Impact; and
WHEREAS, In November of 2007, the Eagle Arts Commission endorsed the official
logo of the Eagle Wine District Overlay (EWD) as a distinctive symbol to be used to raise the
profile of, and direct public awareness to, the district; and
WHEREAS, In April of 2008, the City of Eagle has recognized that the creation of an
official logo of the Eagle Wine District Overlay (EWD) would further the identity and confirm
the presence of this special planning area within the City of Eagle; and
WHEREAS, In April of 2008, the City of Eagle determined that the inclusion of the
official Eagle Wine District Overlay (EWD) logo into the design of any signage pertaining to said
district is necessary to advocate and bring attention to the unique qualities and economic vitality
of the EWD.
WHEREAS, on April 8, 2008. the City of Eagle City Council adopted Resolution No.
08-07 recognizing and establishing the official logo of the Eagle Wine District overlay.
WHEREAS, on December 11. 2018. the Eagle Arts Commission endorsed the revised
logo of the Eagle Wine District Overlay (EWD) as a distinctive symbol to be used to raise the
profile of, and direct public awareness to, the district.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF EAGLE, IDAHO HEREBY RESCIND RESOLUTION NO. 08-07, AND
RECOGNIZE THE REVISED EAGLE WINE DISTRICT OVERLAY LOGO AS
DEPICTED ON THE ATTACHED RENDERING (EXHIBIT A) AS THE OFFICIAL
LOGO.
This Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its adoption and
approval.
