Civic Lane October 10, 2018 5:30 P.M. I. CALL TO ORDER: Meeting called to order at 5:40 P.M. 2. ROLL CALL: NICKEL. STAFFORD. PENCE, DAVINA. A quorum is present. 3.. PUBLIC COMMENT: Phis time is reserved for the public to address the Historic Preservation Commission regarding concerns or comments the. would like to pro. ide to the Commission regarding am matter, up to and including am subject on the agenda. Out of courtesy for all .vho wish to speak. the Commission requests each speaker limit their comments to three (3) minutes 4. UNFINISHED BUSINESS: A. ACTION ITEM: Finalize adoption of short term and long-term goals. (7.P) 1.:1('770;1' ITEM- Identification of strategy for implementing short term and long term goals. B. .-IC770.V ITEM. Review historic Preservation Brochure edits and approve for final printing. (t P) C. Discussion of edits to Downtown Walking tour brochure. D. A('71O.V /"I E:1l: Historic Property plaques. Final approval of language; review of purchasing criteria. Chairman Pence explains that the Commission is not prepared to discuss items A-1) at this time, and requests that the items be discussed at the next meeting. Davina moves to take items A, 8, C, and D from tonight's agenda, and start with action item E, and pick up A, 8, C, and D at our next meeting. Seconded by Nickel. ALL AYES... MOTION CARRIES. F. .4(710.1. /71:.11: ReNiew of proposal to bring forward to City Council regarding Historic Downtown Designation. (SN) Nickel introduces items h and F. General discussion amongst the Commission regarding items 4E. Nickel moves to consider the name Historic Eagle Village moving forward as our name for the downtown historic area. Seconded by Davina. ALL AYES... MOTION CARRIES. General discussion amongst the Commission regarding items 41'. Nickel makes a motion to work with City Staff to set a date for City Council sometime in November for the purpose of doing a presentation on the Historic Eagle Village designation. Seconded by Davina. ALL AYES... MOTION CARRIES. G. :IC'7IO.V I7'E.tl. Discussion of Frequently Asked Question (FAQ) brochure. Identify questions the Commission would like addressed. Designate someone from the Commission to .%ork v ith staff to draft document. General discussion amongst the Commission.
