Meeting Minutes
November 5, 2018
1. CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Ridgeway calls the meeting to order at 5:45 p.m.
2. ROLL CALL: BASTIAN, GOLD, PITTMAN, MITCHELL. Pittman is present
by telephone conference call. All present. A quorum is present.
3. OLD BUSINESS:
A. ACTION ITEM Ordinance No. 805 An ordinance of the City of Eagle, Ada County,
Idaho, amending Ordinance number 778 to amend number of board members; providing a
savings and severability clause; providing a repealer clause; providing for publication by
summary; and providing an effective date.
Mayor introduces the issue.
General discussion.
Mitchell moves, pursuant to Idaho Code, Section 50-902, that the rule requiring
Ordinances to be read on three different days with one reading to be in full be
dispensed with, and that Ordinance #805 be considered after being read once by
title only. Seconded by Gold. General discussion. ALL AYES: MOTION
CARRIES
Bastian moves that Ordinance #805 be adopted. Bastian reads the title of the
ordinance into the record. General discussion. Seconded by Pittman. BASTIAN:
AYE; GOLD: AYE; PITTMAN: AYE; MITCHELL: AYE: ALL AYES: MOTION
CARRIES
4. NEW BUSINESS:
A. ACTION ITEM Appoint New URA member(s).
Mayor introduces the issue.
Mayor: I'm recommending that the Council appoint Mayor Ridgeway to the URA. This
term to be staggered with the other members and will expire November 2022.
Bastian moves to appoint Stan Ridgeway, Mayor, to the URA. Seconded by
Pittman. General discussion. ALL AYES: MOTION CARRIES
Mayor: we had one other person apply and the information is in your packet. We will
have 2 vacant seats at the end of November. General discussion.
Gold moves to table the additional applications for the URA and continue
publication for membership. Seconded by Bastian. General discussion. ALL
AYES: MOTION CARRIES
5. ADJOURNMENT:
Mitchell moves to adjourn. Seconded by Gold. Mayor: are there any objection to
adjournment? Seeing none we are adjourned.
Hearing no further business, the Council meeting adjourned at 6:05 p.m.
