Circulation increased. The latest statistics show that Eagle has a population of
26,930 and around 11,000 have library cards. The goal is to have at least 50% of the
population with library cards. There will be a push to increase that number.
Steve showed the new website design which appears to be much improved. There are
several programs highlighted and scroll on the front page.
Steve and several staff members are reading Transforming Our Image, Budding
Our Brand: The Education Advantage by Valerie J. Gross. They are seeking ways
to improve library service and identifying ways to incorporate the reading into
strategic planning.
Steve informed board that he would like the library to purchase a bike mobile to
advertise the various events and resources that the library has to offer the
community. He will devise a list of events as to how the bike mobile can be utilized
and bring it to future board meetings.
Additionally, the check in system would benefit from another sorter module along
with two Ergo Trolleys which will be discussed in greater detail at the next meeting.
