1. CALL TO ORDER: 6:05 pm
2. ROLL CALL: SOELBERG, ROGERS, HYER, MORTENSON
Absent: Mitchell and councilwoman, Naomi Preston.
3. ADDITIONS, DELETIONS, OR MODIFICATIONS TO THE AGENDA
Moved to approve agenda: Mortenson
Second: Hyer

4. CONSENT AGENDA
A. Collection Development Policy. Annual policy review of Hours of
Operation Policy. This policy was adopted on December 9, 2013. There
are no proposed changes.
B. Minutes for September 12, 2016
C. Approval of bills
D. Surplus of Equipment list

5. REPORTS
A. Friends of the Library Report (Friend’s Board Representative)
No representative attended. Steve reported that the Friends were happy
with the book sales results.
B. Director’s Report
Circulation decreased. The remodel is moving fast and the circulation
desk is gone. Working to be part of the Parks & rec quarterly newsletter.
Steve proposed that Eagle implement automatic renewals. If approve,
would implement after the fine revenue for the year is met and then the
budget will be adjusted.
Motion to move new material handling system to auto renew items to align
Eagle with other libraries around us: Soelberg
Second: Thomas

C. Library Liaison/City Hall Reports
Naomi Preston was not present and there was no report.
6. UNFINISHED BUSINESS
A. Use of Library Policy
It was agreed to change the senior non-resident charge. Bullet 3 under
Senior Non-resident Eagle Public Library accounts needs to be edited.

B. Strategic Plan 2017-2019
The strategic planning survey was discussed. Questions 2, 7, 11, 18 and
19 will be changed. Steve will follow up with Mitchell on her feedback on
19. Question 21 will be changed to a new question about what is difficult
to use at the library or access.
