Minutes - 2001 - Eagle Public Library - 11/12/2001 - Regular Incomplete Draft due to Secretary Misplacement of Notes MEETING MINUTES EAGLE PUBLIC LIBRARY BOARD OF TRUSTEES NOVEMBE 12,2001 AT 7:00 P.M. LIBRARY CONFERENCE ROOM CALL TO ORDER APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY REPORT APPROVAL OF BILLS DIRECTOR'S REPORT—Ann Hours recently_worked by Library staff included Columbus Day and Veterans Day. City Hall was closed both of these holidays. Staff will take comp days later. Close times for Upcoming Holidays include 5 pm the Wednesday before Thanksgiving (November 21), 1 pm on Christmas Eve Day(December 24)and 5 pm on New Year's Eve (December 31). City Hall generally closes at 5 pm, but Mayor sometimes allows earlier close on Christmas EveDa4,y. Filtering� of operational on all equipment. Process doubles staffs' work since they have to log- on twice to indicate if the patron wants filtered or unfiltered access. From this time forward,the patron registration form will ask if filtering is desired and, if so,the upper left corner of the patron card will be punched for easy identification. Gifts were received in the form of three checks: $10, $50 and$150. The latter was from the Eagle Christmas Bazaar,another was from Mrs. Siron who enjoyed Children's Story Time. 3M Self Check System pricing($24,950)we previously received for Model 6210 assumed a purchase quantity of two. 3„ Copyright Questions have been raised regarding replacement of defective audio or audio-video materials. SOMETIMES HE LETS THEM CLOSE EARLY. I ASLED FOR THE CITY FINANCIAL REPORT FOR OCTOBER 2001, END OF THE YEAR,LAST WEEK AND WAS TO PICK IT UP TODAY. CITY CLOSED! FILTERING STATUS: ALL THE MACHINES ARE FILTERED! IT HAS GIVEN THE STAFF TWICE AS MUCH WORK THO, AS THEY HAVE TO DO TWO LOG ONS TO INDICATE IF THE PATRON WANTS FILTERED OR UNFILTERED. THE REGISTRATION FORMS FOR PATRONS ALSO HAVE A SPOT TO INDICATE IF THE PATRON WANTS FILTERING. THE PATRON'S CARD WILL BE PUNCHED IN THE UPPER LEFT CORNER TO INDICATE TO STAFF FILTERING IS REQUESTED. EAGLE CHRISTMAS BAZAAR GAVE THE LIBRARY A CHECK FOR$L50.00. ALSO, CHECKS FOR$10.00 AND $50.00 WERE GIVEN TO THE LIBRARY. ONE FROM MRS. SIRON, THE OTHER BECAUSE SHE ENJOYED THE STORY TIME FOR THE CHILDREN. I RECEIVED THE INFO ON THE 3-M SELF CHECK SYSTEM. 3-M, MODEL 6210 PRICED AT $24,950. (HOWEVER, THIS PRICE WAS GIVEN FOR A PURCHASE OF TWO.) HAS STAN FOUND OUT ABOUT THE STATUS OF THE SATTELITE DISH? THE FRIENDS WERE IN TODAY AND ASKING ABOUT THIS. I BELIEVE THE MINUTES INDICATED THAT STAN WAS TO TAKE IT TO THE CITY COUNCIL.
