NAY 11, 1998
I. The meeting was called to order at 6:00 P.M. at City Hall. Present were
Susan, Pat, Terry, Terri, Shara Dene, Ann, Stan and Lynn Melton.
II. Approval of Minutes: A correction was made from Rep. Bunderson to
Sen. Bunderson. Minutes were approved by unanimous consent.
III. Financial Report: It is satisfactory.
IV. Approval of Bills: Terry/Pat made a motion to approve bills. Motion
passed by unanimous consent for bills totaling $4,998.58.
V. Library Director's Report:
A. Statistics: Circulation is down but traffic is up.
B. Storage Unit. A motion was made to rent a storage unit for
storage of books for the library by Terry/`Perri. Notion passed
by unanimous consent.
C. Summer Help: Maren will be hired to work full time this summer.
D. The Eagle Nazarene Church asked permission to use power from the
library on Eagle Fun Days. Stan gave permission from the city.
VL. Unfinished Business:
A. Library Ground Breaking
1. Terri did a great job organizing the event.
2. Thank you notes: Terri will write to the speakers and
Ann will write to the librarians.
VII. New Business:
A. A budget workshop will be held Sat, May 6, at 9:00 A.M. at the
library
B. Long Range Plans: Lynn Melton explained the plan and answered
questions.
C. Mission Statement: Terry/Pat made a motion to adopt the Mission
Statement"as written after charging the order of the roles as
written in the community survey. Motion approved by unanimous
consent.
VIII. Next Meeting: June 8, 1998 at 7:00 P.M.
IX. Adjourn: 7:00 P.M.
X. The Board attended the construction committee meeting from 7:00 to 8:00 P.M.
