Minutes - 1997 - Eagle Public Library - 10/20/1997 - Regular EAGTF. PUBLIC LIBRARY BOARD MEETING MINUTES
OCTOBER 20, 1997
I. The meeting was called to order by Susan at 6:30 P.M. at the Eagle Senior
Center. Present were Susan, Pat, Terry, Shara Dene and Ann.
II. Approval of Minutes: The minutes for September 24, 1997 were approved
by unanimous consent.
III. Financial Report: The City Council will be asked for the carry-over
fund of $17,879.23 for patron services for the library.
IV. Approval of Bills: Bills in the amount of $970.35 for September 1997
and $850.60 for October 1997 were submitted. Terry/Susan made a motion to
approve bills. Motion passed by unambuus consent.
V. Library Director's Report:
A. The two new employees, Jacquelyn Massimino and Vicki Prin, are
working out well.
B. Next month we will receive the financial report from the city for the
entire year.
C. The library was reimbursed $4,576.00 for the U. S. West Grant on
the Internet.
D. We paid the "Open Access" $250.00 to Ada Community and the money needs
to be paid to Meridian District Library. Susan will write a letter to
correct it.
E. Jill Rickett of Cannel 6 TV wants to film the library and do a story
on the proposed Library Bond. Ann will call and suggest October 30, 1997.
VI. Committee Reports:
A. The Board needs to keep in touch with the Friends of the Library.
B. Terri Muse will be on the. Library Board. at the next meeting.
VII. The next Library Board meeting will be October 28, 1997 workshop.
I. The meeting continued as a combined meeting.
II. Present: In addition to the above present were: Lynne Sedlacek, Stan
Bastian and Rick Yzaguirre of the City Council; Jim Murray of CSHQA; a rep-
resentative of Wright Brothers; also, Tom Ensley, Liz Horn and Jack Coonce.
III. New Business:
A. A schedule of the time-line and monthly meetings for the proposed
library bond was presented by Jack Coonce.
B. We discussed the exterior design of the proposed library. The Library
Ruurdwill discuss and make suggestions at the next meeting..
IV. The next combined meeting will be November 10, 1997 at 7t00 P.M. at City
Hall.
