JUNE 9, 1997
I. The meeting was called to order by Susan at 7:00 P.M. Susan,
Terry. Donna, Pat, Shara Dene, Ann and Mayor Rick Yzaguirre were present.
II. Approval of minutes: The minutes for May 15, 1997 were approved
by unanimous consent.
III. Financial Report: The report to the end of June was available from
the City Hall. Ann reported our expenses are in order.
IV. Approval of Bills: The expenses for May were $2,084.62. June's
expenses were $1,450.80. Terry/Donna made a motion to approve bills.
Passed by unanimous consent.
V. Library Director's Report:
Statistics: Ada County is 25 - 30% of our total circulation.
Terry made a very helpful spreadsheet to record our statistics.
Circulation is way up.
Sumner Reading: 129 registered the first day. Plans had
originally been made for a total of 100 children.
Pat Rosecrans resigned. Maren Purcell will be able to fill in.
The carpet needs cleaning. We have a bid of $145.60. There is
adequate money in the budget.
Open Access: To participate the minimum amount is $250.00. '
The Board needs to read the contract. There is a 90 day opt
in opt out period. The Board will have a meeting on June 18, 1997.
with Joe Ford Associates at 7:00 P.M. to discuss open access.
VI. Committee Reports: None
VII. Unfinished Business:
Report on Bond Election: The Bond was defeated by 4 votes.
Land Purchase: The City Council will purchase the land.
New Bond Election Schedule: It will take place February 24,
1998. We will schedule a work session in September 1997.
Shara Dene will call Joe Roush to see if he can store the
library bond sign and repaint the site sign. Susan will
contact Tom Enslev, Jim Murray, Bill Hildeman and Jack
Coonce.
VIII. New Business:
Budget Plan: FY 1997-98 A workshop meeting will be held on
Saturday, June 21, at 8:00 A.M.

IX. Public Continents: Mayor Rick Yzaquirre thanked the Board for their
efforts on the bond election.
X. Next Meeting Date: July 7. 1997. We will vote on the budget.
