July 11 , 1994
Meeting called to order at 7pm by Gary Barnes , Liz Horn , Donna
Abbott , and Stftn Bastain, city council liaison were absent .
Minutes of June 13, 1994 meeting approved by unanimous consent .
Financial Report ; bills stand approved by unanimous consent .
Financial Report/Statistics were reviewed . Ann presented a summary
of circulation from October 1993 to June 30, 1994 , it was noted
that circulation in most areas has increased and traffic has almost
doubled . Ann stated , the book circulation , cut from 4weeks to 3
weeks , as approved at the June 13th meeting , was working out well .
Commitee Report ; Sharadene checked median income level from 1980
to 1990, as requested by Liz , 1980 (larger area to county line)
was $17 , 338, 1990 $35, 368.
Unfinished Business ; The budget that had been approved on June 19th,
was revised at liaison Stan Bastian , suggestion to include the total
Follett Circulation plus quote of $3705, also additional hours and
benfits , for Janice ' s position from part time ( 19 hrs/wk) to full
time (40/hr) and increase in salary of 5% to $6. 27 hr . Additional
hours for relief/part time (Joan) to cover sick leave and vacation
for two full time positions and regular relief and part time with
with 5% increase in salary to ($5 . 32) . Budget was approved by
telephonic vote on JuM 2D�1994 by unanimous consent .
New Business ; Ann will be gone from July 28th for three week, Ann
feels that Janice and Joan are fully capable of covering the library
during this time .
