March 21, 1994
Meeting was called to order at 7 :00 P.M . by President Liz Horn .
All members were present , Stan Bastian , City Council liaison was
not there.
Minutes approved unanimous consent .
Financial Report : Bills stand approved unanimous consent .
Librarian Report : Ann ask about parking signs be ordered for
back and front of library .
Gary made motion Pat seconded show of hands by board unanimous .
Ann reminded us that April was no fine month for the library and
ask that this apply only to printed materials not videos .
Board agreed .
Committee Report : Liz reported on Follett meeting at Centennial
High School and was very impressed with the computer program it
offered. Approx. cost $3000 .0() need to plan in next years 1995
budget .
Unfinished Business : Pat Krasen reported that she had contacted
the Ada County Highway Department and a sign that says"Library "
will be put up at no charge soon.
New Business : Liz reported that the new computer and parts were
now at the library. This was a very generous donation from H.P.
valued at $3216 .31 The computer is presently being set up.
Liz talked with Steve Gueber about model library study program
being done by the University of Idaho. Project has already been
completed. Moscow will send 5 of the models down to be displayed
at city hall . The city hopes to get public response from the
showings .
Liz presented the board with the 1st draft of the library
building plan outline . Board reviewed and will study 2nd draft
next month . Liz has done a very impressive vision of our future
library.
Ann, Gary, Pat and Shara will attend the budget workshop in Nampa
March 29, 1994 .
Friends Report : Donna reported that the Friends of the Library
will be participating in the Eagle Fun Days activities to raise
money for the library .
No public comments the next meeting will be April 18 at 7 :00
P.M.
