September 12, 1988
7:00 P.M. Library
The Eagle Public Library Board net at 7:00 P.M. on September 12, 1988. The
meeting was called to order by President Ada Costanzo. Board members present
were Susan McColl, Mike Covault, and Leola Yucis. The Library Director, Ann
Gallinger, was also present
LIBRARIAN'S REPORT:
Statistics for July and August were noted. District circulation made up 49%
of our overall circulation.
Bills for July and August totaling $9,679.31 were reviewed. MSC Susan, Mike
that the bills be approved.
ELECTION:
The following slate of officers for the year 1988-89 were approved:
President--Chris Gaston
Secretary--Ada Costanzo
Treasurer--Mike Covault
PUBLICITY:
Current publicity in Eagle Post and Valley News seems to be adequate for the
present. Some suggestions were offered for a campaign to encourage book
donations. Some specific needs such as reference materials were discussed.
Susan will help Ann with a survey to determine community needs for reference
books.
BUDGET:
After some discussion on our Budget, Susan addressed the need for reopening the
City Budget. Upon receipt of a contract from ACFLD, a letter will be sent to
the City Council for an amended Budget request.
LIBRARY HOURS:
The Board decided to keep the Library open of the following schedule. This
would be on a trial basis.
Saturday 10:00 A.M. - 2:00 P.M.
Monday 1:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M.
Tues - Friday 10:00 A.M. - 6:00 P.M.
These hours will start October 1, 1988.
The meeting was adjourned to go into Executive Session.
