December 5 , 1987 Library 9 : 00 A.M.
The Eagle Public Library Board of Trustees met in the Library at
9 : 00 A.M. on Saturday, December 5 , 1987 . The meeting was called
to order by President Ada Costanzo. Answering roll call were
Susan McColl, Mike Covault, and Leola Yucis. Ann Gallinger,
Librarian was also present. Chris Gaston came in later.
Minutes of the November meeting were read. MSC Leola, Susan that
the minutes be approved. Statistics from November were reviewed.
Ann reported the Eagle Christmas Bazaar had contributed $80 . 00 to
the Library. As the Survey had indicated there was a need for
Craft books. MSC Susan, Mike that the $80 . 00 be used for purchase
of such material for the Library. Bills of $2 , 567 . 53 were
presented. MSC Susan, Leola the Bills be allowed.
Insurance:
Susan reported she had called Black and Warr relative to specific
coverage information. As she received no follow up on this call
she will call again on Monday. Susan felt the city should tender a
defense if such Insurance is not feasible. Ann volunteered to
check with A.L.A. regarding Insurance. The matter will be discussed
again at the January meeting.
Christmas Party:
The party for Board members and guests will be at Susan' s on Dec. 13th
at noon. Plans were finalized.
Survey:
Ann announced about 12% of Surveys had been returned. We feel this
is a good response. When results are tabulated they will be published
and posted in the Library.
Meeting was adjourned at 10 : 00 A.M. to be followed by a Workshop on
Library Planning for all local Library Boards. The Workshop was
conducted by Marj Shelby from Idaho State Library.
