Board of Trustees Meeting: June 17, 1985
The Eagle Public Library Board of Trustees met on Monday, June 17, 1985 at
• the library with President Bev Hancocx presiding . Members present were
Glida Bothwell , ChriS Gaston , Susan McColl , and Leola Yucis. Ann
Gallinger, Librarian was also present.
Minutes of the May 20 minutes were approved with one correction. Bev
attended the May 29 meetino also.
LIBRARIAN` S REPORT
Statistics were noted. Bills for $358. 33 were approved by the Board.
Summer Reading Update--Ann visited both schools and kindergardens with
film schedules and summer reading information. Kris Watkins and
were a princess and a dragon . So far, 125 children have
registered for summer reading "Seek your own adventure" . On June 25 aand
27 "Neverending Story" will be shown'
SHELVING FUND DRIVE--On Eagle Fun Day Leola, Glida, Donna Abbott , Joan
Hill , Susan and Jody Lewis and her friends gave out balloons and flyers
about the shelving campaign Thirty dollars was collected, that day' Also

16 cans placed in Eagle Businesses had $16. ./�k � y r� /o/�v( Ted.

The Trustees were reminded zo call the list of names to inform patrons of
the shelving fund drive. Flyers were distributed. The Board was also
encouraged to make a contribution,
ACFLD-Ada County Free Library District -
The Board discussed the contract with the District. They also discussed
the Eagle Library budget in relation to funds from the county district.
The district goes into effect Oct' 1 , 1985, and the funds will be
received on Jan 1 , 1986. Our budget will reflect the funds from the
county.
WLN WORKSHOP-Ann reported on the June 14 meeting at DPI_ which was also
the last meeting of SIRLS. The focus of the workshop was using the WLN
resource directory and micro-fiche reader '
STANDARDS--The Board reviwed the Ii.laho Library Standards for
Accessibility, Users and Usage, Materials, and Structure and Governance
of Library Services. Bev will write up a summary of the Boards
evaluation of the library service4:. for Eagle.

OTHER—Copies of revised Idaho Library Laws were distributed Monday July
8 will be the next board meeting at 7: 30 pm. The Budget Committed will
meet at 9 am Sat. June 22. July 9th is thc next City Council meeting
The ACFLD contract will be presented at that time. ^
Meeting adjourned 9pm.
