Board of Trustees Meeting: May 20, 1985
The Eagle Public Library Board of Trustees met on Monday, May 20, 1985 at
the library with President Bev Hancock presiding. Members present were
Glida Bothwell , Chris Gaston, Susan McColl , and Leola Yucis. Ann
Gallinger, Librarian was also present.
Minutes of the April 22 were approved as circulated.
LIBRARIAN' S REPORT
Statistics were noted. Ann noted that ILL were down as people are now
using the State Library. There were no bills.
Summer Reading-Ann will visit the schools during the last week of the'
year.
Summer Employee-Kris Watkins will work during June 0/hour
for 20-25 hours per week on me flex ti

District Library-On May 29th Ann G and Carol Haley l '^- --- 'ith Lynn
Melton to discuss the Ada County Library District contract with Eagle
Public Library.
On June 14 a meeting will be held at ISL for learning how to use the WLN
and Microfiche reader. This will also be a farewell to SIRLS.
Library Standards
The board reviewed the Library Standards.
Fund-Raising
Board discussed shelf fund-raising project. They also discussed the list
of names who will be contacted for support of the project. The Board
each checked names they would contact. The Library will have an activity
at the Eagle Fun Day on June 8. Coffee cans will be placed in Eagle
Businesses'
A meeting of Jody Lewis, Bev, Glida, Kris Watkins, and Donna Abbott was
held at Jody' s house to discuss ideas for Eagle Fun Day and news releases
about the Kick-off for the campaign.
SIRLS Leola reported that they elected officers. Eagle got $250. 00 from
SIRLS for books. SIRLS got $18, 000 for a periodicals list . There will
be one meeting a year-May 17, 1986 at 10 am.
