MEETING: August 13, 1984
The Eagle Public Library Board met August 13, 1984 at 7:30 P.M. in the
Library. Members present were Beverly Hancock, Susan McColl and Chris
Gaston. Leola Yucis and Glida Bothwell were excused. Librarian Ann
Gallinger "also attended. Minutes of the last meeting were approved.
Ann presented bills of $91.62. Chris moved the bills be allowed.
Susan seconded. Motion carried.
Discussion was held on the logo for a letterhead for Library stationary.
An Eagle on an open book had been considered.
Beverly reported on a joint meeting she had with Friends: Joan Hill,
Jody Lewis, Carol Stiburek and Donna Abbott. The Christmas Bazaar was
discussed and the Library Board approved the suggested menu.: It was
suggested that there could _be Co-chairmen for the Bazaar. Bookmarks
are being printed at ISL with notice of the Annual Friend's Meeting on
September 27, 1984 at 7:30. P.M. in the Library. They will be handed out
to patrons with the books that are checked out.
Beverly and Jody Lewis are checking into shelving for the Library.
Beverly will call Boise Cascade Tuesday to see if they might have surplus
shelving.
Beverly will meet with the mayor and present the shelving and arrangement
ideas from the Friends and indicate that the Board approves the concept.
ILA will be in Sun Valley on October 3 - 5, 1984. Chris will contact
Lorraine Carlson about staying at her cabin during the -meetings as she
previously offered it to the Board and Friends. Susan moved and Chris
seconded to have Ann attend ILA. Motion carried.
