EAGLE PUBLIC LIBRARY BOARD MINUTES
March 19, 1984 7 : 30 P.M.
The regular meeting of the Eagle City Library Board met at
7 : 30 P.M. on March 19, 1984 . Due to the absence of Donna Abbott,
the meeting was called to order by Beverly Hancock acting President.
Members answering roll call were Glida Bothwell, Susan McColl and
Leola Yucis. Ann Gallinger, Librarian, was present.
The minutes were read. Glida moved, Susan seconded, the minutes
be approved as submitted. Motion carried.
Librarian' s report:
Statistics for February were discussed. It was noted that the
Friends of the Library have purchased about $200. 00 worth of books
for the Library. Bruce Cluff has donated a 1982 Polk Directory
to the Library.
Bills for $407. 48 for books were presented. Susan moved, Glida
seconded, that the Bills be paid. Motion carried.
The Board received approval from the Mayor and City Council to
employ CWEP help for the Library. We reviewed the Job Description.
Beverly will start procedure for acquiring such help immediately.
Applicants will be interviewed by the Board.
Glida reported on a Bill before the Legislature to shift power
from Library Boards to City Councils. Beverly announced the Bill
had already been killed.
Ann will purchase a gift certificate for Betty Morris at the
Eagle Nursery. She will also inquire as to the possibility of
holding a Gardening Workshop in the Library for the Community.
The Board set a tentative date for April 6 or 13 for a workshop on
the Policy and Procedure Handbook. The meeting will be at
Beverly' s
Glida moved we have April a no-fine month as usual. Susan seconded.
Motion carried.

Ann reported that the Computer Workshop on March 9th was very
productive. Ann asked for May 29 through June 1 for her vacation.
The Board approved.
The next regular meeting was set for April 16, 1984 at 7 : 30 P.M.
Meeting adjourned.
