Minutes - 1984 - Eagle Public Library - 02/13/1984 - Regular Eagle Public Library � : -_ P.O.Box 477 Eagle,Idaho 83616 III 208.939.6813 EAGLE PUBLIC LIBRARY BOARD MINUTES February 13, 1984 7 : 30 P.M. The Eagle Public Library Board of Trustees met February 13, 1984 at 7 : 30 P.M. in the Library. The meeting was called to order by President Donna Abbott. Members present were Glida Bothwell, Susan McColl, and Leola Yucis. Beverly Hancock was excused because of illness. Librarian Ann Gallinger was also present. Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved as read. Librarian' s Report: Statistics for January were reviewed. It was noted that 11 new books and 35 donated books have been added to the collection. Circulation continues high. Bills for $134 . 12 were presented. Leola moved the bills be paid. Glida seconded. Motion carried. President Donna presented a letter from Marilyn Shinn of Ada County Extension Service with a list of available workshops and dates. Donna and Ann will decide on what would best fit the needs of our community and check back with Marilyn. Ann volunteered to visit the Senior Retirement Center giving a book talk and acquainting them with our Friends of the Library Program. Because of much needed help in our Library, the Board decided to send a letter to the City Council, through Dave Escalante, recommending CWEP. The Board has studied this program and approves it for acquiring a part time Library Aid. Ann will attempt to get volunteers to help with collecting overdue books. It was noted that the Board of the Eagle Disaster Fund did not approve using part of the funds for a Community Project. Glida reported that a regional meeting for a county wide Library District will be held at the Boise Public Library on Wednesday evening, March 14 , 1984. This District would include all of Ada County not presently served by a Library.
