MEETING
August 17, 1983 10 : 00 A.M.
The regular meeting of the Board of the Eagle Public Library was
called to order by President Donna Abbott at 10 : 00 A.M. on
August 17, 1983. Present were Board Members, Susan and Leola.
The minutes of the June meeting were approved as submitted.
Librarian' s Report:
Ann presented two (2) bills. One for June for $946 .05 and one
for July for $118. 97 . Leola moved the bills be allowed, Susan
seconded. Motion passed.
Ann reported a very active summer for the Library. Sixty-five
T65) youngsters attended the party that ended the Summer Reading
Program. There were many interesting costumes in the Timetwist
theme. Certificates of Completion from SIRLS were awarded to all
completing the program.
Three (3) Board Members and our Librarian attended SIRLS picnic
and meeting in July. Bill Wilson replaces Mike Herman who -left
to go to Alaska as SIRLS Director.
Our Budget for 1983-84 was passed by the City Council at their
meeting August 9 , 1983.
The Board elected to have a workshop September 7 , 1983 at 10 : 00 A.M.
to work on our Policy and Porcedure Manual. Our regular meeting
will follow at 12 : 00 noon. "Duties of the Librarian" will be
reviewed.
On the Agenda for the September meeting will be election of
officers. The President will send a recommendation to the City
Council that Leola Yucis be reappointed for a five year term on
the Baord. Ann presented an updated Library Inventory. This will
be placed on file.

Bonnie Krasowski gave a resume of her duties as City Clerk and
compared her salary with ones in townsof comparable size. She
explained she also performs the same duties for the Planning
and Zoning Commission. This information was well received by
the Board.
